November through April is the dry northeast monsoon — calm seas, glassy lagoons and the highest rates of the year. Book six to eight months ahead for overwater villas in this window.
May to October brings short, heavy showers and better value. Manta and whale shark sightings peak in these months around Baa Atoll, so divers often prefer it.
The sweet spot is late April or early November: shoulder pricing with mostly dry days. We hold provisional villa blocks for these weeks each year.
